Take the following into consideration
When deciding
on your makeup and hair for your special day.
-
Be sure to wear a shirt
that is the same color of your wedding dress when you have your
bridal make-up preview and consultation.
-
Time
of day the ceremony is taking place. Nighttime weddings are
obviously more formal and warrant a more sophisticated look.
Daytime weddings tend to be more natural.
-
Black or white? The type of film you choose
to use for your photographs will also call for a different type
of makeup. Be sure to decide this ahead of time.
-
The color of your dress. Ivory and off-white
tend to make the skin look softer and so can take a more glamorous
makeup. White tends to look strong and washes out most faces.
It is important that the face is well blended so as to not look
stark, but soft color is needed.
-
You are creating an entire picture …
do not put on the ornate dress and heels and then wear your
hair and makeup like you do when you have on jeans. Don't sell
yourself short on such a memorable day!
-
Unless you have facials on a regular basis,
DO NOT get one the week of before your wedding. They can pull
impurities to the surface, and you do not want to break out
the week of. Also, do not make any major changes in skincare
the few weeks, for the same reason.
